Special powers?: Projectile manipulation. Any moving object that is less than a kilogram in mass and less than five cubic centimeters in volume that gets within a meter of Jack is his to do with as he sees fit. He can bend projectile paths by up to thirty degrees and can bring a speeding bullet to a near stop in less than half a second.

History: Jack was born in New Orleans but his family moved to Chicago when he was only six months old. For the most part, he grew up in a well-adjusted family. Jack mostly kept to himself however, and had a very confrontational attitude and short temper. He was of above average intelligence, but never applied himself at school due to disinterest in the subjects he was taught or the inability to get along with his teachers.

After graduating, Jack went on to join the Chicago Police Department. Officer Gardner distinguished himself quickly in the Chicago PD; he had a strong sense of justice, pursued criminals relentlessly, and also demonstrated incredible marksmanship. He was also noted for his ‘gung-ho’ style of dealing with criminals, which lead to nickname of ‘suicide Jack.’ Jack dealt with dangerous shoot-outs and similar situations with amazing skill.

After several years of distinguished service on the force, Jack quit. He had grown discontent with the corruption and red tape that bound the system of law enforcement along with his pitiful paycheck. He decided to pursue his own career as a private investigator/negotiator, though more often he was hired for duties along the lines of body guarding. He managed to distinguish himself in the body guarding career and found much successful business. Recently his business had turned increasingly slow, so Jack decided to take a vacation. On passing, he had entered a contest a few weeks ago and won an all-expenses paid vacation to Cairo, Egypt. He took this opportunity and left Chicago, carrying along his precious pistols, throwing knives, and a laptop in case he received any business requests while away.

Personality: Jack seems to be a fairly pleasant fellow. He is easy-going and easy to get along with, as the placid smile or silly grin generally plastered on his face might suggest. He has a short temper though, which is not to be crossed. Jack particularly dislikes being told the extreme obvious (from his point of view) or being commanded to do something (without being paid for it). He is more than a little cocky and behaves brashly, often acting as though he is invincible. Jack is also rather sarcastic at times and has a weird streak a mile or so wide. Deep down, however, he is darkly cynical about many things; particularly law, justice, and human nature. He is a chain-smoker and obsessively cares for his pair of pistols, two HK USPs, and the throwing knives he conceals in his boots.

Appearance: Jack’s typical style of dress does not reflect his job. He generally wears a loose fitting button-up shirt, a loose tie, black slacks, and a pair of heavy-duty dark brown boots. His brown hair is tied back in a short ponytail, though he leaves his bangs alone mostly. Jack also has a bad habit of not keeping up with his shaving, resulting in him generally having a few days worth of stubble.
